Alright, here comes today’s task, making a “honey orange” color. I don’t know what you guys think, but I feel like this color is pretty good-looking, full of vitality, and looks very warm.

To get started, I took out my color palette. This is a must-have, haha. Then I thought, since it’s called “honey orange,” it should be a mix of yellow and orange. So, I squeezed out some yellow and orange pigments on the palette.

Before I started mixing, I did a little research online. I searched for “honey orange color palette” and looked at some pictures. This helped me get a better idea of what kind of color I wanted to make. I found that there are actually many different shades of “honey orange.” Some are lighter, some are darker, and some have more red in them. It’s quite interesting.

  • I found a website that showed many color palettes, which gave me a lot of inspiration. I saw that “honey orange” can be paired with many other colors, like blue, gold, and red. It looked really nice!
  • I also saw some pictures of rooms decorated in “honey orange.” It made the rooms look very warm and inviting. I think it would be a great color for a living room or bedroom.

After doing some research, I felt more confident about mixing the colors. I used a palette knife to mix the yellow and orange pigments together. I started with a small amount of orange and gradually added more until I got the color I wanted. I also added a tiny bit of white to make the color a bit lighter and brighter.

It took a few tries to get the perfect “honey orange” color. I had to adjust the ratio of yellow and orange a few times. But eventually, I got it! The color I mixed was like liquid sunshine, it’s warm and bright, just like honey.

I also tested the color on a piece of paper to see how it looked when it was dry. Sometimes the color can change a bit after it dries. But luckily, the “honey orange” color I made still looked great after it dried.

So, that’s how I made the “honey orange” color. It was a fun and rewarding process. I learned a lot about color mixing and also got some inspiration for home decoration. I might even use this color to paint a wall in my house someday!

Oh, I almost forgot, for those who are interested in the specifics, the HEX code for the “honey orange” I mixed is around #E79A3F. And the RGB values are roughly 231, 154, 63. You can use these values to find the exact same color on your computer or other devices.

Give it a try!

If you’re interested in trying this yourself, I encourage you to do so! It’s a lot of fun, and you might discover your new favorite color. Just remember to start with small amounts of pigment and adjust the ratio until you get the color you want.
