Alright, let’s talk about this here honeycomb pan, you know, the one everybody’s yapping about. I ain’t no fancy cook, mind you. I just make food for my family, gotta fill their bellies, ya know? But even I gotta say, this pan… it’s somethin’ else.

First off, what is it even? Looks like a beehive got stuck to a pan, that’s what it looks like. But they say it’s good for cookin’, makes the food all crispy and not stickin’ to the bottom. Sounds good to me, ‘cause I hate scrubbin’ burnt food. My old hands ain’t what they used to be.
Now, they got all sorts of these pans. Some small, some big, some with lids. I seen one that says “Tri-Ply Stainless Steel,” sounds fancy, right? Probably means it’s strong and won’t fall apart after a few uses. They also got ones that say “Induction” on ‘em. Don’t know what that is, but if it helps cook better, I’m all for it. And they even got those “Wok Pans” too, but them’s too big for my little stove.
I heard tell these pans are good for fryin’ things. You know, like fried chicken, fried fish… makes ‘em real crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. That’s what they say, anyway. And apparently, it’s all because of them little honeycomb bumps. Keeps the food from stickin’, see? They call it “non-stick,” fancy words for not stickin’. I used to have them old pans where everything stuck, took me forever to clean ‘em.
Them fancy folks say it’s got a “unique surface texture.” Well, I guess it is unique, looks like nothin’ I ever seen before. They say it’s made with some special process. I don’t care how they make it, long as it works, right?
I seen some folks sellin’ these pans on the internet. Places like Amazon, PChome, somethin’ like that. They got all sorts of prices, some cheap, some not so cheap. You gotta be careful, though. Some of them pans ain’t worth a dime, they say. You gotta look for the good ones, the ones that last.

Now, I ain’t tried all these pans myself, can’t afford to be buyin’ new pans every week. But I did get me one, a small one, just to see what all the fuss is about. And I gotta say, it cooks pretty good. I made some fried potatoes in it the other day, and they came out real crispy, not all soggy and stuck to the bottom like they used to in my old pan. Even my grandson, picky eater he is, ate ‘em all up.
- So, is this honeycomb pan worth the money? Well, I reckon it depends.
- If you’re tired of scrubbing burnt food, then yeah, maybe it is.
- If you want your food crispy, then yeah, it might be worth a try.
- But don’t go spendin’ your life savings on one, ya hear?
Just get a good one, not too big, not too small, just right for your needs. And don’t forget to read the instructions, if it comes with any. I ain’t much for readin’, but even I can figure out how to use a pan. You just put it on the stove, put some oil in it, and cook your food. Simple as that.
And remember, even with a fancy honeycomb pan, you still gotta know how to cook. A good pan ain’t gonna make a bad cook into a good one. But it sure can help, that’s for sure. So go on, get yourself a honeycomb pan, try it out. You might just like it. And if you don’t, well, at least you tried.
Now, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about pans has made me hungry. Maybe I’ll make some more fried potatoes… in my honeycomb pan, of course.
