What is Princess Cake Princess? Your Guide to This Delight.

Okay, so, today I wanna talk about making a princess cake, the whole shebang. I saw these cute pics online, and I just had to try it myself. First things first, I needed to get all my stuff together. I went to the grocery store and grabbed a bunch of flour, sugar, eggs, you know, the usual baking suspects. Oh, and some pink food coloring, ’cause what’s a princess cake without that pretty pink, right?

Next up, I preheated my oven. While that was heating up, I started mixing the dry ingredients in one bowl and the wet stuff in another. This part was kinda messy, ngl, flour was going everywhere! I combined them slowly, making sure not to overmix. I added that pink food coloring, and it turned into this gorgeous shade of, well, pink. It felt like I was creating a masterpiece!

What is Princess Cake Princess? Your Guide to This Delight.
  • Bake the cakes: I greased two round cake pans and poured the batter in. I baked them for about 30 minutes, checked with a toothpick – came out clean, so they were good to go!
  • Make the frosting: While the cakes were cooling, I whipped up some buttercream frosting. This was the fun part, I got to play around with the flavors, added some vanilla extract, and more pink coloring of course.
  • Assemble the cake: Once the cakes were totally cool, I leveled them with a knife. Then, I put a layer of frosting on the first cake, put the second one on top, and frosted the whole thing. It wasn’t perfect, but hey, it was mine!

I decided to go all out with the decorations. I found these edible glitter and sugar pearls at the store, and I just went crazy with them. I also made some little roses out of extra frosting and put them on top. It was like, a total explosion of pink and glitter, but in a good way.

Finally, the moment of truth, time to try my creation! I sliced a piece, and it was actually pretty good! The cake was moist, the frosting was sweet, and the whole thing just looked so darn cute. It was a lot of work, I won’t lie, but totally worth it. I felt like a real pastry chef, well, maybe an amateur one, but still! It was a fun little project, and I’d definitely do it again, maybe next time with a different color, who knows?
