WASC Chocolate Cake for Beginners: Simple and Foolproof Instructions
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Okay, so, let me tell you about this chocolate cake I made. It was called a “WASC” chocolate cake, which I’d never heard of before. I was just looking for a good chocolate cake recipe, right? And this one kept popping up, so I figured, why not give it a shot?

I started by gathering all my ingredients. Nothing too fancy, just your basic cake stuff: flour, sugar, eggs, and of course, chocolate. Now, I’m not the best baker in the world, but I can follow instructions pretty well. This recipe seemed straightforward enough. It said to use some sort of original Pam to spray the cake pans, put a flower nail in the center, and then add the cake mix, flour, and sugar into a bowl.

WASC Chocolate Cake for Beginners: Simple and Foolproof Instructions

Here’s where it got a little interesting: This recipe was like a “one-bowl wonder.” No need for a mixer or anything! I just dumped everything into the bowl and stirred it up. I did this a few times, and yeah, I am pretty sure this is the way to make it, easy peasy. I remember someone once said, their husband didn’t really dig chocolate cake but would always eat this one. That’s a pretty good sign, I thought!

  • Mix all the dry stuff together.
  • Then, toss in the wet ingredients.
  • Give it a good stir until it’s all combined.

I poured the batter into the prepared pans, popped them in the oven, and waited. The house started to smell amazing, like chocolate heaven. I gotta say, my mouth was watering. After what felt like forever, but was probably just the normal baking time, I took the cakes out. They looked pretty good, if I do say so myself!

The Frosting

Now, no chocolate cake is complete without frosting, am I right? This recipe had a simple chocolate frosting too, which was just as easy to make as the cake. It was this fudgy, creamy goodness that just took the whole thing to the next level. Slathered that on the cooled cakes, and bam! I had myself a WASC chocolate cake.

I took a bite, and oh boy, it was good. Moist, rich, and just the right amount of chocolatey. It wasn’t too sweet, which I appreciated. I served it up to the family, and they were all impressed. Even my picky little one gobbled it down. Overall, I’d say this WASC chocolate cake was a win. Super easy to make, and tasted like a dream. I’ll definitely be making this one again.
