Okay, so I’ve been seeing cinnamon chips in baking recipes everywhere lately, and I finally decided to give them a try. I mean, who doesn’t love cinnamon, right? But I gotta admit, I was a little intimidated at first. Were they gonna be hard to find? Would they melt weirdly? So many questions!
The Hunt Begins
First things first, I had to actually find these elusive cinnamon chips. I started at my usual grocery store, checked the baking aisle, and… nothing. I asked an employee, and they looked at me like I had two heads. Seriously, are these things a secret?

Then, I tried a bigger, fancier grocery store. Still nothing. I was starting to think these chips were a myth! Finally,I searched it in a small shop and i got it.
Putting Them to the Test
I decided to try them in a basic banana bread recipe. I figured that would be a good way to see how they tasted and how they behaved in the oven.
- I mixed up my usual banana bread batter.
- Then, I folded in the cinnamon chips. They looked kind of like chocolate chips, but, you know, cinnamon-y.
- I poured the batter into a loaf pan.
- I baked it for like, an hour, maybe a little less. Just until a toothpick came out clean.
The Verdict
Okay, drumroll please… these things are GOOD. Like, really good. The banana bread came out smelling amazing, all warm and cinnamon-y. And when I took a bite, the chips had melted a little bit, but they still had a nice little crunch to them. They added this intense burst of cinnamon flavor that was just perfect with the banana.
Honestly, I’m kind of obsessed now. I’m already thinking about what else I can bake with these. Maybe some cinnamon chip cookies? Or muffins? The possibilities are endless! If you see them in the store, grab a bag,You won’t regret it!
