Hey everyone, so I’ve been wanting to get into the holiday spirit lately, and what better way than baking, right? I decided to try my hand at making some snowflake-shaped treats and let me tell you, it was quite the adventure! I went online and found these snowflake silicone molds. You can find them all over the place, so it wasn’t hard to get my hands on some.
I opted for a set of three molds because, why not? They were different sizes, which I thought would be fun to play around with. Now, I’m no professional baker, but these molds seemed pretty straightforward. They’re made of silicone, which is great because it’s flexible and non-stick. The ones I got are heat-safe up to 400°F, which is more than enough for most baking recipes. Some of them are even marked as “food-grade,” which is also very nice.

The first thing I did was to whip up a simple chocolate recipe. I melted some chocolate and poured it into the molds. Super easy, right? I filled up all three molds with chocolate and popped them into the freezer to set.
- While those were chilling, I got a bit more ambitious and made a batch of brownie batter. I mean, who doesn’t love brownies? I used another snowflake mold for this one and poured in the batter, just like I did with the chocolate.
- Then, I put these into the oven and let the brownies bake at the recommended temperature and time.
Once the brownies were done and cooled, I carefully popped them out of the mold. They came out perfectly shaped like snowflakes! I also pulled the chocolate snowflakes out of the freezer. They were solid and looked pretty cool, if I do say so myself.
The fun part
Then came the fun part – decorating! I used some white icing to pipe little details onto the brownies, making them look even more like snowflakes. I also added some sprinkles and other edible decorations to make them festive. For the chocolate snowflakes, I melted some white chocolate and drizzled it over them for contrast. It was a bit messy, but hey, that’s part of the fun, right?
I ended up with a whole bunch of snowflake-shaped treats that were perfect for a winter gathering, or just for enjoying with a cup of hot cocoa. These molds were great to work with, and they made the whole process so much easier than I expected. I might even try making some cake pops or mini cakes in them next time. Seriously, the possibilities are endless!
All in all, it was a successful baking day. If you’re looking to add some winter magic to your baking, I definitely recommend giving these snowflake molds a try. They’re a simple and fun way to create some unique treats. Just remember to have fun with it, and don’t be afraid to get a little creative!
