Recipes with Plus Sugar: How to Use It? Easy Baking and Cooking Ideas!

Today I was messing around in the kitchen and decided to make something sweet. I had a bunch of strawberries that were about to go bad, so I figured, why not try something new? I remembered seeing some stuff online about baking with strawberries and sugar, so I thought I’d give it a shot. The title? “Plus Sugar.” Yeah, that sounds about right.

First, I grabbed my oven and cranked it up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. While that was heating up, I took out a baking dish—a 9×13 inch one, to be exact. I sprayed it down with some cooking spray to make sure nothing sticks. It’s a real pain when your food sticks, you know?

Next, I dumped all the strawberries into the dish. They were all over the place, but it’s fine, they’ll cook down. Then came the fun part—sugar! I sprinkled a good amount of sugar over the strawberries. I didn’t measure, just went with my gut. I mean, who doesn’t love sugar? From what I saw online, there are tons of sugar types—white, cane, brown. I just used regular granulated sugar, the kind you find everywhere.

After the sugar, I dusted some flour over the top. I guess this helps thicken things up or something. Again, I didn’t measure precisely, just eyeballed it. It’s not rocket science, just cooking, right?

Once everything was in the dish, I popped it into the preheated oven. Now, the waiting game. I set a timer, but I kept checking every few minutes. I’m impatient, what can I say?

  • Waited for about 30 minutes.
  • Checked if the strawberries were soft and bubbly.
  • Took it out when it looked all gooey and delicious.

Finally, it was done! I pulled the dish out of the oven and let it cool for a bit. The smell was amazing—sweet and fruity. I scooped some into a bowl and took a bite. Man, it was good! The strawberries were all soft, and the sugar had melted into this syrupy goodness. It was a bit messy, but who cares? It tasted great!

What I Learned

  • Spraying the dish is crucial.
  • Sugar and strawberries are a match made in heaven.
  • Don’t need to be exact with measurements.
  • Baking is pretty easy and fun.

So yeah, that was my little kitchen adventure today. “Plus Sugar” turned out to be a pretty good experiment. I might try it again with different fruits or maybe add some other stuff to it. Who knows? The possibilities are endless when you’re just messing around in the kitchen. Cooking doesn’t have to be serious or complicated. Just have fun with it!
