Okay, here’s my blog post about making honey whipped cream:
So, the other day I was craving something sweet, but not too sweet, you know? I had some heavy cream in the fridge and thought, “Whipped cream!” But I wanted to jazz it up a bit. Then it hit me: honey!

Getting Started
First, I grabbed my stuff. You don’t need much for this, which is awesome:
- Heavy cream – Make sure it’s super cold! I even stuck my mixing bowl and whisk in the freezer for a few minutes beforehand. Cold cream whips up way better.
- Honey – Obviously. I used some local stuff I got at the farmer’s market.
- A mixing bowl – I used my trusty stand mixer, but you can totally use a hand mixer or even just a whisk if you’re feeling strong.
- A whisk attachment (or a whisk, see above).
The Whipping Process
I poured the cold heavy cream into my chilled bowl. I started the mixer on low speed at first, just to get things going. You don’t want cream splashing everywhere!
Then, I slowly cranked up the speed. I watched it carefully, because you can go from perfectly whipped to butter pretty fast if you’re not paying * there, done that. It’s not pretty.
Once the cream started to thicken up and form soft peaks (that’s when you lift the whisk and the cream forms a peak that kinda droops over), I slowed the mixer down again.
Now the fun part! I added a generous drizzle of honey. Don’t be shy. I tasted and add the honey, I’d say around 2-3 tablespoons, but you make it by your heart. Then I beat it again until it has incorporated fully into the cream.
I mixed it in on low speed until it was all combined. I gave it a taste and added a tiny bit more honey because, why not?
The Finished Product
And that’s it! Seriously, so easy. I ended up with this light, fluffy, perfectly sweet whipped cream. It was amazing. I put a big dollop on some fresh strawberries, and it was heavenly. You could also use it on pie, cake, pancakes… anything, really. Or just eat it with a spoon. No judgment here!

The key takeaways? Super cold cream, don’t over-whip, and add honey to your heart’s content. Go make some!
