This here is ’bout them premaid honey maid graham cracker crust ingredients. You know, them crusts you buy at the store, all ready to go. Well, I looked at the box, and let me tell you, there’s a whole heap of stuff in ’em. More than you’d think, that’s for sure.
First off, they got that graham flour. That’s the main thing, I reckon. It says “whole grain wheat flour” on the box, so I guess that’s good for ya. Then there’s this other flour, “unbleached enriched flour.” Sounds fancy, don’t it? But it’s just regular flour with some extra stuff added in. They got all these big words for it, like “niacin” and “thiamine mononitrate.” Heck if I know what them is. Probably some kind of vitamins or somethin’.
Then, of course, they put in sugar. Lots of it, I bet. Can’t have a crust without sugar, I guess. Then there is canola oil. They use that a lot these days, don’t they? It also got honey. Makes sense, with the name “honey maid” and all. I like honey, it’s good stuff.
They also got somethin’ called “leavening.” That’s what makes it rise up, I think. It’s got “baking soda” and somethin’ else called “calcium phosphate.” And a pinch of salt, gotta have salt in everythin’, you know, just a little bit.
Now, they also got “wheat starch” in there. I guess that’s to make it hold together or somethin’. And then they got “artificial flavor.” That don’t sound too good, does it? I don’t like that artificial stuff. But I guess they gotta put it in there for some reason. They gotta make it taste like somethin’ I guess.
So, that’s what’s in them premaid honey maid graham cracker crusts. A whole lot of stuff, some of it good, some of it, well, I don’t know. If you wanna make a pie, these here are easy to use, just pour your fillin’ in.
I saw on another box somewhere that you can just buy the graham cracker crumbs. Or you can just smash up them whole crackers yourself. Then you just need some sugar and some butter. You melt that butter, mix it all up, and press it into your pie pan. That’s how you make your own crust.
Now, some folks say you don’t even need to bake these graham cracker crusts. But I always like to bake mine a little. Makes ’em crispy, you know?

These here crusts, they last a good long while. It says on the box when they go bad. I think it’s good for a year. Long time, right? Just keep ’em in a cool place, I guess. Don’t put ’em in the sun or nothin’.

I saw on the box, it tells ya all the numbers and such, how many calories and all that. Says there’s eight servings in one of them crusts. But who eats just one little piece of pie, right? I like a big ol’ piece myself.
Well, that’s all I know ’bout them premaid honey maid graham cracker crust ingredients. If you’re gonna make a pie, they’re sure easy to use. Just remember there’s a lot of stuff in ’em, more than you might think. Maybe it’s better to just make your own crust, if you got the time. But if you’re in a hurry, these will do just fine. Just make sure you got somethin’ good to put in ’em. Like apples or peaches. Or maybe some of that there pumpkin. Now I’m gettin’ hungry just thinkin’ about it!
It is easy to make a pie with these things, you know. Just get your stuff ready, pour it into that crust, and bake it up. Easy peasy, as they say. I remember my mama used to make pies all the time. She made the crusts from scratch, though. Took her a while, but they sure were good.
These days, everyone’s in a hurry. Nobody got time to make things from scratch anymore. That’s why they got these premaid crusts, I reckon. Just gotta do what you gotta do, I guess. Still, nothin’ beats a homemade pie, made with love. That’s what I always say.
Well, I reckon that’s all I got to say about that. Just remember what’s in them things before you buy ’em. And if you do buy ’em, make sure you make a good pie with ’em. Don’t want to waste a good crust, now, do we?
