Okay, so you wanna know about this honey dipper thing, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, it ain’t rocket science. It’s just a stick, see? A stick with grooves. You stick it in the honey jar and you twirl it around. And then you pull it out and the honey stays on the stick, all nice and drippy.

Now, I ain’t one for fancy words, but they call it a “utensil.” Sounds like something a doctor uses, don’t it? But it’s just for honey. You use it to get the honey out of the jar and onto your bread or biscuits.
- Stick it in.
- Twirl it around.
- Pull it out.
- Drizzle it on.
That’s it. Simple as pie. No need to make it complicated.
They make these dippers outta wood, mostly. Sometimes you see ’em made outta other stuff, like plastic or metal. But wood is best, I reckon. Feels natural, you know? They got these grooves, like I said. The grooves hold the honey, see? Keeps it from drippin’ all over the place.
Some folks say you gotta spin the dipper just right. Keep it horizontal, they say. Spin it slow. I dunno about all that. I just stick it in and twirl it. Never had no problems. Honey always comes out just fine.
You know, they call this thing all sorts of names. Honey dripper, honey wand, honey stick, honey spoon… Why they gotta make it so complicated? It’s just a dipper!

And get this, they say the Honey Nut Cheerios bee, BuzzBee, he carries one of these dippers. I ain’t never seen a bee carryin’ a stick, but if they say so…
Now, I heard somethin’ else funny about this “honey dipper” name. Apparently, way back when, they used to call the folks who cleaned out the outhouses “honey dippers.” Can you believe that? Dirty job, that was. Glad I ain’t gotta do it.
But back to the honey dipper. You can find these things everywhere. Amazon, they say. What’s an Amazon? Sounds like a jungle. They got all kinds, too. Wooden ones, olive wood ones, cherry wood ones… Fancy stuff.
You can even get ’em in packs. Four of ’em, twenty of ’em… What’s a person gonna do with twenty honey dippers? Must be for them folks who eat honey all day long.
Me, I just need one. Simple one. Does the job. Gets the honey out of the jar and onto my bread. And that’s all that matters.

So, if you want a honey dipper, go get yourself one. Don’t cost much. And it makes gettin’ honey outta the jar a whole lot easier. No more messin’ around with spoons or knives. Just stick it in, twirl it, and enjoy your honey.
