Oh boy, let me tell you about my little adventure today with honey and caramel. I’ve been seeing all these fancy posts about mixing these two, so I figured, why not give it a shot? It started simple enough. I thought, “I’m just gonna mix some stuff and see what happens.”
First, I grabbed the honey. You know, the regular one I use for my tea. Then, I found some caramel sauce that I had left over from that time I tried to make flan—didn’t turn out great, but the caramel was still good. So, I had those two things sitting on my counter, and I was like, “Let’s do this.”

I started by heating up the honey. Just a little bit in a pan, because I heard it mixes better when it’s warm. It was kind of cool to watch it get all runny and bubbly. Then, I poured in the caramel. I didn’t stop there. I tried it with some pretzels, because why not? Salty and sweet, you can’t go wrong. And that was amazing, too. It’s like everything I dipped in there turned to gold. I even put it on some vanilla ice cream later. I know, I know, it sounds like a lot, but it was a “treat yourself” kind of day.
