Heart Shaped Baking Molds: Where to Buy Them?

Okay, so today I’m gonna share my experience with heart-shaped baking molds. I saw these cute molds online and thought, “Hey, Valentine’s Day is coming up, let’s get baking!”

First things first, I ordered a set of three different sized heart-shaped silicone molds. They looked pretty sturdy in the pictures, you know? When they arrived, I gave them a good wash with soap and water, just to be safe. Gotta get rid of any weird factory residue!

Heart Shaped Baking Molds: Where to Buy Them?

My plan was to make some simple chocolate cupcakes. I found a basic recipe online – nothing too fancy, just your standard cocoa powder, flour, sugar, eggs kinda deal. I mixed everything up in a big bowl, making sure there were no lumps. That’s always the worst!

Then came the fun part: pouring the batter into the molds. I didn’t want to overfill them, so I left about a quarter inch of space at the top. I carefully placed the molds on a baking sheet and popped them into the oven. The recipe said to bake for about 20 minutes at 350°F, but I kept an eye on them, just in case.

After about 18 minutes, I stuck a toothpick in the center of one of the cupcakes. It came out clean, so I knew they were done! I took the baking sheet out of the oven and let the cupcakes cool in the molds for about 10 minutes before trying to remove them.

This is where things got a little tricky. The silicone molds were pretty flexible, but a couple of the cupcakes were still a little sticky. I gently ran a knife around the edges to loosen them up, and then carefully pushed them out from the bottom. Thankfully, only one broke a little bit, but nothing a little frosting couldn’t fix!

Next up was the frosting. I made a simple buttercream frosting with butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a little bit of milk. I used a piping bag to swirl the frosting on top of each cupcake. Then, I sprinkled some red and pink heart-shaped sprinkles on top for extra cuteness!

The Verdict: The heart-shaped molds worked pretty well! The cupcakes baked evenly, and the shapes were really cute. I’d definitely use them again, maybe for mini cakes or even brownies next time. Just gotta be careful when removing them from the molds to avoid any breaking. Maybe spraying the molds with cooking spray beforehand would help even more.

  • Pros: Cute shapes, easy to clean, flexible
  • Cons: Can be a little tricky to remove cupcakes without breaking them

Overall, it was a fun baking experience! These heart-shaped molds are a great way to add a little extra love to your baked goods. Go give it a try!
