Alright, let’s talk about this Grain Craft Power High Gluten Flour, ya know? I ain’t no fancy baker or nothin’, but I do know a thing or two about makin’ bread. My old ma used to say, good flour makes good bread, simple as that.

Now, this here flour, they call it “Power” flour, and I reckon that’s a pretty good name for it. It’s supposed to be one of them high gluten kinds, which means it’s got a lot of that… whatchamacallit… protein stuff in it. That’s what makes the bread strong and chewy, see? Like, the kinda bread that can hold a whole heap of gravy without fallin’ apart.
I heard some folks sayin’ this Grain Craft Power Flour is premium. Sounds fancy, huh? I guess that means it’s supposed to be better than the regular stuff. And you know what? I think they might be right. I used it to make some rolls the other day, and they turned out real nice and fluffy, but still had that good chew to ’em.
They sell this flour in big ol’ bags, like 50 pounds or somethin’. That’s a lot of flour, but if you do a lot of bakin’, it’s worth it. I seen prices all over the place, ya know? Some places it’s around $22, some places it’s closer to $25. Guess it just depends on where you go.
- Now, this high gluten flour, it needs more water than the regular kind. Don’t ask me why, it just does. If you don’t put enough water in, your dough gonna be all stiff and hard to work with. And nobody wants that.
- You can use this flour for all sorts of things, not just bread. I heard tell it’s good for pizza crusts, bagels, them fancy artisan breads… you name it. Me, I mostly just stick to the basics, but it’s good to know you got options.
Some folks are confused about this high gluten flour and that “vital wheat gluten” stuff. Well, I looked it up, and it seems like they’re pretty much the same thing. It’s all just that protein stuff that makes the bread strong.
I seen online where you can get this Grain Craft High Gluten Power Flour delivered right to your door, real fast like. They call it Instacart or somethin’. Or you can go pick it up at the store yourself, if you ain’t in a hurry. Either way, it’s pretty easy to get your hands on it.
Now, the government folks, the USDA, they say this high gluten flour got the most protein of all the wheat flours. They say it’s got around 12.5 to 14.5 percent protein. That’s a whole lot more than that all-purpose flour, which ain’t got but 8.7 to 11.8 percent.
I also heard about some other flour, called Shepherd’s Grain High Gluten Flour. Seems like some folks switch back and forth between that and the Grain Craft. I ain’t tried that Shepherd’s Grain yet, but maybe I will someday. For now, I’m stickin’ with this Grain Craft Power Flour. It works good for me, and that’s all that matters.

So, if you’re lookin’ for a good strong flour that’ll make your bread rise up high and taste real good, I reckon this Grain Craft Power High Gluten Flour is worth a try. Just remember to add a little extra water, and you’ll be golden. Don’t be afraid to experiment a little. That’s how you learn, ya know? And who knows, maybe you’ll come up with somethin’ even better than I can make.
And that’s all I gotta say about that. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go start on another batch of bread. All this talk about flour is makin’ me hungry.
