Okay, so the other day I was craving something sweet and easy, and I remembered I had some frozen egg tarts in the freezer. I’d never cooked them before, but I figured, how hard could it be, right? So I grabbed the box and started checking out the instructions.
The box said to preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Easy enough. While the oven was heating up, I took the tarts out of their individual foil cups. They were pretty solid, as you’d expect from something frozen.

I put the tarts onto a baking sheet, spaced them out a bit so they wouldn’t stick together. Then I popped the baking sheet into the preheated oven.
Now, the box said to bake them for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. I decided to check on them after 15 minutes, just to be safe. They were starting to brown a little, but not quite there yet.
- So, I let them bake for another 5 minutes, and bingo! They were perfect.
- The crust was a nice golden brown, and the filling looked set and yummy.
Getting Them Out of the Oven
I carefully took the baking sheet out of the oven using oven mitts (safety first!). The tarts smelled amazing, but I knew I had to let them cool down a bit before I could devour them.
After about 10 minutes of patiently waiting, I finally gave in and took a bite. Oh. My. Goodness. They were delicious! The crust was flaky and buttery, and the filling was sweet and creamy. It was the perfect little treat.
Honestly, I was surprised at how easy it was to bake these frozen egg tarts. They turned out way better than I expected, and I’ll definitely be making them again soon. It’s a super simple way to satisfy a sweet tooth, and it’s perfect for when you don’t have time to bake from scratch. All done!
