Now, where do you find these scales? They don’t grow on trees, that’s for sure. You gotta go find yourself some nasty beasties called Singed Basilisks. Nasty lookin’ critters, they are. Live in a place called Stonetalon Mountains. Sounds fancy, but it’s just rocks and dirt, mostly. You gotta be around level 26 or so to handle them basilisks. Don’t go there if you’re just a wee babe, or you’ll get your hide tanned.
- Step 1: Get yourself to Stonetalon Mountains.
- Step 2: Find them Singed Basilisks. They ain’t hidin’, usually.
- Step 3: Beat ’em up and take their scales. Simple as that.
Now, some folks, they like to do things fast. They talk about “farming” and “grinding.” Sounds like hard work to me, but I guess it gets the job done. They use them fancy shortcuts on their keyboards and make the whole thing go faster. Me? I just take my time and whack them basilisks one by one. But you do you, honey.
This whole Warcraft thing, it’s a lot like farmin’, really. You gotta gather stuff, you gotta work hard, and sometimes you gotta fight off critters. Except in Warcraft, you can’t eat what you kill, which is a shame. A good basilisk stew would be right tasty, I reckon.
And speaking of farmin’, there’s all sorts of guides out there. Folks makin’ gold, gettin’ fancy gear, all that jazz. Me, I just try to get by, you know? But if you’re lookin’ to be the richest fella in the land, well, there’s folks who can help ya with that. Just remember, gold ain’t everything. Sometimes it’s just nice to sit by a fire and watch the sun go down. Even in a game world, you know?
Now, about them scales again. It ain’t just for that one quest, see? Folks use ’em for all sorts of things. Craftin’, makin’ stuff, tradin’ with other players. It’s a whole economy, just like in the real world, only with more magic and less taxes. So, havin’ a pocketful of scales is never a bad thing. You never know when you’ll need ’em.
Some folks say skinnin’ them basilisks is a good idea too. You know, takin’ their hide after you kill ’em. More stuff to sell, more gold in your pocket. I ain’t much of a skinner myself, but it makes sense, I guess. Waste not, want not, that’s what my grandma used to say. And she was a smart woman, even if she never played no Warcraft.
So, that’s the long and short of it. Crystalized scales. Singed Basilisks. Stonetalon Mountains. Level 26. Eight scales for Collin Mauren. Gold, craftin’, skinnin’. It’s all part of the game, see?
