Okay, so, I saw these Christmas tree cupcake pans online and thought, “Those are adorable! I gotta try them.” I mean, who doesn’t love a festive cupcake, right? So I ordered them and they finally arrived. Time to get baking!
First, I whipped up a basic vanilla cupcake batter. Nothing fancy, just my go-to recipe. While the batter was resting, I prepped the pans. These things are silicone, so they’re pretty non-stick, but I gave them a light spray with cooking oil anyway, just to be safe. Don’t want any sad, stuck cupcakes!

Fill ‘Em Up
Next, I carefully filled each little tree mold with batter. I used a spoon, but a piping bag would probably be neater. I filled them about two-thirds full. Learned that the hard way with regular cupcakes – overflow is not fun.
Bake Time!
Into the oven they went! I baked them at 350°F. It took around 18-20 minutes. I just kept an eye on them and did the toothpick test to make sure they were done. You know, poke a toothpick in the center, and if it comes out clean, they are good to go.
Cool Down
Once they were out of the oven, I let them cool in the pans for about 10 minutes. Then, I carefully flipped them out onto a wire rack to cool completely. They popped right out! Silicone is the best.
Decoration Station
Now for the fun part – decorating! I made some green buttercream frosting and used a star tip to pipe on little branches. It was way easier than I expected. Then, I went wild with sprinkles. I had some little star-shaped ones and some colorful nonpareils. I even found some edible glitter! Gotta have that sparkle.

They turned out so cute! They were a huge hit with my family. My kids loved helping with the sprinkles, of course. I’m definitely making these again for Christmas Eve. Might even try a chocolate version next time. Yum!
