Christmas baking tools for beginners (Easy start to holiday baking)

Okay, so, Christmas is around the corner, and I’ve been thinking about all the baking I wanna do. It’s one of my favorite things about the holidays, you know? So, I decided to get my kitchen ready for some serious baking action.

I started by taking inventory of what I already had. Turns out, I was missing a few key things. And let’s be honest, having the right tools makes baking so much easier and more fun. I wanted to get some good stuff that’d be perfect for Christmas baking, but also something I could use all year round.

Christmas baking tools for beginners (Easy start to holiday baking)

Essentials for Christmas Baking

  • Rolling pin: First off, I got a new rolling pin. I was using a wine bottle before and, it was not ideal. So, I got myself a decent wooden one. It’s so much easier to roll out cookie dough now!
  • Cookie cutters: Then, I went a little crazy with cookie cutters. I mean, who can resist those cute shapes? I picked up a bunch – snowflakes, gingerbread men, stars, you name it. I can’t wait to see the cookies all decorated and stuff.
  • Measuring cups and spoons: I know, I know, every baker should have good measuring stuff. I upgraded mine to a nice stainless steel set. They look pretty, and they’re super accurate, which is important for baking.
  • Mixing bowls: You can never have too many mixing bowls, right? I got a set of different sizes, from tiny ones for spices to big ones for mixing batter. They’re glass, so I can see what I’m doing, which is a big help.
  • Whisk: My old whisk was kinda falling apart, so I got a new one. This one’s got a comfy handle and sturdy wires. It’s gonna be great for whipping up egg whites and cream.
  • Spatulas: I got a couple of silicone spatulas too. They’re perfect for scraping every last bit of batter out of the bowl. And they’re heat-resistant, so I can use them for cooking too.
  • Baking sheets: I used to have some old baking sheets that were all warped and discolored. I tossed those out and got some new non-stick ones. I used them for the first time yesterday, and the cookies just slid right off. It was amazing.

So yeah, that’s my little baking tool haul. I’m really excited to start baking with all this new stuff. I think it’s gonna make a big difference in my holiday baking this year. I might even try making a gingerbread house. We’ll see how that goes. Wish me luck! I’ll definitely share some pictures of my baked goods once they’re ready. Maybe I’ll even share some recipes if they turn out good.
