Okay, guys, so I tried making chocolate pudding today, and let me tell you, it was a bit of an adventure. The goal? Chocolate pudding sweetened with condensed milk. Sounds simple enough, right?
Getting Started
First off, I gathered all my ingredients. I grabbed some cocoa powder, because, duh, chocolate. Then, I got my hands on a can of sweetened condensed milk – this was going to be my sweetener. I also picked up some regular milk, cornstarch (for thickening, you know), eggs, and a bit of vanilla extract because why not add a little extra flavor, right?

Mixing It Up
I started by mixing the dry ingredients. I dumped the cocoa powder and cornstarch into a saucepan. I whisked them together until they were all combined. Then, I gradually poured in the regular milk while whisking constantly. It was kind of a workout, but I didn’t want any lumps. You want it smooth, like, really smooth.
Next, I added the sweetened condensed milk and whisked some more. And I cracked the eggs in a separate bowl. I beat them up a little before slowly adding them to the mix. It was important to do this slowly, or the eggs will cook. And we don’t want scrambled eggs in our pudding! After that, I poured in the vanilla extract. Just a splash.
Cooking Time
I put the saucepan on the stove over medium heat. I stirred it pretty much non-stop. I mean, you can’t really take a break here. It started to thicken up after a few minutes. It took, I don’t know, maybe 10 minutes? It was kind of like magic. One minute it’s all liquidy, and the next it’s getting thick.
The Waiting Game
Once it was thick enough, I took it off the heat. Then, I poured the pudding into these little bowls I have. I covered them with plastic wrap, making sure the wrap was touching the surface of the pudding. This is to prevent that weird skin from forming on top. Nobody wants that.
Finally, I stuck them in the fridge. This was the hardest part – waiting. I had to let them chill for at least a couple of hours. It was tough, but I managed to distract myself.
Taste Test
After what felt like forever, I finally took them out of the fridge. I peeled off the plastic wrap, and there it was. Smooth, creamy chocolate pudding. It looked pretty good, if I do say so myself. I grabbed a spoon and dug in.
And? It was delicious! Seriously, it was rich, chocolatey, and just the right amount of sweetness. The condensed milk gave it this unique, kind of caramelized flavor. It was definitely different from regular sugar.

So, that’s my chocolate pudding adventure. It was a bit of work, but totally worth it in the end. I’d definitely make this again. Maybe next time I’ll try adding some different flavors. Chocolate and orange, perhaps? Or maybe some chili for a little kick? The possibilities are endless!
- Would I recommend it? Absolutely.
- Was it easy? Yeah, mostly. Just a lot of stirring.
- Will I make it again? For sure!
Give it a try, guys. You won’t regret it. Just be prepared to stir. A lot.
