Okay, here’s my post about making bread pudding with cranberries and walnuts:
Alright, so the other day I got this wild idea to make bread pudding. You know, one of those classic comfort foods. And I had some leftover bread that was about to go stale. Perfect timing, right? So, I’m like, let’s do this! But I wanted to make it a bit special, so I grabbed some cranberries and walnuts I had lying around. They were kinda just sitting there in my pantry, waiting to be used.

First things first, I needed to get the butter all melty. I just popped it in the microwave for a bit until it was all liquid. Easy peasy. Then, I took my bread slices and started cutting them up into little cubes. While I was doing that, I preheated the oven. Gotta get that thing nice and hot.
Next, I got these cute little ramekins and evenly distributed the bread cubes between them. Then came the fun part – I sprinkled those cranberries and walnuts all over the bread. In a separate bowl, I cracked some eggs, poured in some cream, and added a good amount of brown sugar. I’m not gonna lie, I tasted it a few times to make sure it was just right. Gotta have that perfect sweetness, you know?
After giving the mixture a good whisk, I poured it over the bread in the ramekins. You want to make sure all the bread gets soaked in that eggy goodness. Let it sit there and really drink it up.
- I put the mixture on top of the bread.
- Give it time to absorb.
- Put it in the oven to bake.
Then into the oven they went! I baked them for a while, and let me tell you, the smell in my kitchen was amazing. Like, seriously, I wish I could bottle up that scent and wear it as perfume. When they were all golden brown and looked ready, I took them out. After waiting for them to cool a bit – which was torture, by the way – I finally dug in.
The result
Guys, this bread pudding was seriously good. The cranberries added this nice tartness, and the walnuts gave it a great crunch. And the bread, oh the bread, it was all soft and soaked up all those flavors. It was just the perfect warm and cozy treat. I think I’m going to make it again tomorrow. A great way to use leftover bread.
If you’ve got some leftover bread and you’re looking for something delicious to make, give this a try. It’s super easy, and you probably have most of the ingredients already. Trust me, you won’t regret it! And the best part? It makes your house smell incredible.
