Okay, so I’ve been getting into baking bread lately. It’s, like, way more satisfying than buying it from the store. But my loaves were looking… well, kinda sad. Just blobs, really. So I decided I needed to get some actual bread baking molds.
First, I looked around online. Just to get an idea of what was even out there. Wow, there are a lot of options.

My Shopping Trip
I ended up going to that big kitchen supply store. Because I wanted to see things in person, you know? Feel the weight, check the sizes.
- Round ones.
- Long ones.
- Some made of metal.
- Others were silicone.
It was a little overwhelming, to be honest. I grabbed a couple of different sizes of the standard loaf pans, Metal ones, felt sturdier.
The First Bake
Got home, mixed up my dough. I’m still working on getting that perfect rise, but that’s a whole other story. Greased the pans , I’m still not sure if that was necessary, but I didn’t want anything to stick. Plunked the dough in, let it rise again (the “proof” thing, I think it’s called?), and then popped them in the oven.
The difference was HUGE. Seriously. Instead of sad, flat blobs, I had actual bread-shaped bread! They looked so much more… professional. Or at least, not like something a five-year-old made.
So, yeah. If you’re baking bread, get some molds. It’s a simple thing, but it makes a big difference. Now I just need to perfect my actual bread recipe…That’s Next!
