Okay, so the other day, I decided I wanted to make some Christmas cookies. Not just any Christmas cookies, though. I wanted big ones. Like, really big, impressive cookies. So, I started looking for big Christmas cookie cutters.
The Hunt Begins
I first checked my kitchen drawers, obviously. I have a ton of cookie cutters, but they’re mostly the standard sizes. Nothing huge. Nope, needed to expand my search!
- Checked the drawers- strike one!
Next, I started looking for some. It was surprisingly tricky to find exactly what I was looking for! Some were too detailed, some were too small, some were just…ugly.
Scouring the Internet
Finally, I decided to really dive deep. And that is I found some good options.
- Got frustrated – time for a break!
- Ate some regular-sized cookies for inspiration.
Success at Last!
After much searching, I finally found the perfect set! They were simple shapes – a star, a tree, a gingerbread man – but HUGE. Exactly what I wanted.
Baking Time!
I ordered them right away, and when they arrived, I was so excited. I whipped up a batch of my favorite sugar cookie dough, rolled it out nice and thick, and started cutting.
- Preheated the oven – gotta be prepared!
- Made a HUGE mess with flour.
It was a little tricky getting the giant cookies onto the baking sheet without breaking them, but I managed. I had to bake them a little longer than usual because they were so thick, but the smell was amazing.
The Final Result
And they turned out GREAT! Big, beautiful, perfectly-baked Christmas cookies. I decorated them with some simple icing, and they were a hit. Everyone loved them! Mission accomplished.
So, if you’re thinking of making some seriously impressive Christmas cookies, invest in some big cookie cutters. It’s totally worth it!
