Okay, so the other day I decided to get a jump start on my Christmas baking. I’ve got these visions of perfectly shaped, oversized cookies, you know, the kind that just scream “festive!” So, I went on a hunt for some extra-large Christmas cookie cutters.
The Search Begins
First, I checked my usual baking supply stores. I found a few, but they were either the standard size or just, like, a slightly bigger star. Not what I was going for. I wanted something really impressive, cookies that could practically be a meal. My kids love cookies, so I decided to get something really big this year.

Digging Deeper
I spent a good hour browsing online. I mean, seriously, who knew there were so many cookie-cutter options? I scrolled through pages of snowflakes, Santas, and reindeer. Some were pretty intricate, but still not the size I wanted. Then I stumbled across a set. Boom! Extra-large, simple shapes. A giant gingerbread man, a huge tree, and a massive bell. Perfect!
Testing Them Out
- I immediately added them to my cart and placed my order. When they arrived, I got straight to work.
- I whipped up a batch of my trusty sugar cookie dough. The recipe is super easy to make.
- I rolled it out a bit thicker than usual, figuring the bigger cookies needed some extra support.
- Then came the fun part: I pressed in those giant cutters! The dough released easily and the cookies were super sized.
The Baking Process
I carefully transferred them to my baking sheet. Into the oven they went! I kept a close eye on them, baking them a bit longer than usual because of their size. When they were ready, they were golden brown and smelled amazing.
The Finished Product
I let them cool completely before frosting them. The detail work was much more fun and easy. Now I have a whole batch of truly extra-large, ridiculously fun Christmas cookies! And I can tell you my family is very excited about them. Mission accomplished!
