Measuring 1 tbsp of lemon juice in grams:Easy method
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Okay, so I needed to figure out how many grams are in a tablespoon of lemon juice. I’ve got this recipe, see, and it calls for a tablespoon of lemon juice, but I prefer to measure things out by weight ’cause it’s just more accurate, you know?

First, I grabbed a tablespoon and my kitchen scale. Gotta make sure the scale is zeroed out first, of course. Don’t want any funny business throwing off my measurements!

Measuring 1 tbsp of lemon juice in grams:Easy method

My Experiment

  • Step 1: I zeroed out my scale with an empty container on it.
  • Step 2: Then I carefully filled a tablespoon with fresh lemon juice. I tried my best to get it right to the top, but not overflowing.
  • Step3: Then put the lemon juice into container.
  • Step 4: I checked the scale.

The scale showed around 14 grams, give or take. The juice wasn’t perfectly level, so that explain small difference. Let me do it a few more times, just to be sure.

Okay, after a few tries, I’m geting pretty consistent results, It’s right about 14 grams almost every time!

So, there you have it! 1 tablespoon of lemon juice is about 14 grams. Now I can go back to my recipe and know I’m getting the right amount of lemon-y goodness.
