Okay, so I saw this recipe floating around for “Beer Bisquick Biscuits” and I thought, “No way, that’s gotta be too easy.” But I’m all about simple stuff, so I had to try it. Plus, I had some beer leftover from the weekend, so, you know, win-win.
Getting Started
First, I grabbed my trusty box of Bisquick. Seriously, this stuff is like magic for lazy bakers like me. Then I grabbed a beer, I think my husband drink it usually. It doesn’t even a full bottle – I just eyeballed it to about a cup.

Mixing it Up
I dumped a couple of cups of Bisquick into a bowl – I didn’t even measure, just kinda guessed. Then I slowly poured in the beer, stirring it with a fork. It started to fizz a little, which was kinda cool. I kept adding beer until it looked like, you know, biscuit dough. Not too wet, not too dry, just that shaggy, messy kind of dough.
Baking Time
I preheated my oven to, like, 400 degrees. I’m pretty sure that’s the right temperature for biscuits? I just went with it. I greased up a baking sheet – no fancy non-stick spray, just some good old butter. Then I used a big spoon to plop globs of dough onto the sheet. They weren’t pretty, but who cares, right?
The Moment of Truth
- I popped them in the oven and set a timer for, I dunno, 15 minutes? I just kept an eye on them.
- When they started to look golden brown on top, I figured they were done.
- I pulled them out and let them cool for a few minutes – mostly because I didn’t want to burn my mouth.
And… they were actually pretty good! They had this slightly yeasty, beer-y flavor that was surprisingly tasty. They were fluffy on the inside, a little crispy on the outside. I slathered one with butter and honey, and it was gone in, like, two seconds.
So, yeah, Beer Bisquick Biscuits? Totally a thing. Super easy, super quick, and surprisingly delicious. I’m definitely making these again.
