Okay, so I wanted to make this bread recipe, but it’s super specific about the ingredient amounts. My old kitchen scale is, well, let’s just say it’s not very accurate. So, I decided to get a new “digital scale with bowl.”
Getting Started
First, I shopped around a bit online. There are a ton of these things! I finally settled on one that looked decent, had good reviews, and wasn’t too expensive. I clicked “buy” and waited.

Unboxing and First Impressions
A couple of days later, it arrived. I tore open the box – I’m always excited about new kitchen gadgets. It was packaged pretty well. Inside, there was the scale itself, the bowl, and a little instruction booklet.
The scale is mostly plastic, but it feels sturdy enough. The bowl is a good size, big enough for most of my baking needs. It also has a nice little spout, which is handy for pouring.
Putting it to the Test
I popped in some batteries (not included, of course!). The display lit up – nice and bright, easy to read. I placed the bowl on the scale and pressed the “tare” button to zero it out. So far, so good.
- I first tried weighing some flour. I scooped some into the bowl and watched the numbers change on the display. It seemed to respond quickly and accurately.
- Next, I added some water, bit by bit. The scale registered even small additions, which is exactly what I wanted.
- I even tested it with some smaller stuff, like yeast and salt. No problems there either.
My Thoughts
I used the scale, made the bread following the recipe. It turns out great.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with this new scale. It’s definitely an upgrade from my old one. It’s easy to use, seems accurate, and the bowl is a nice bonus. I think it’ll be a useful tool in my kitchen for a long time.
