Okay, so I wanted to make some treats for my anniversary, and I thought, what’s better than heart-shaped goodies? I went online and bought these heart-shaped baking molds. They looked super cute in the pictures, so I was pretty excited.
When the molds arrived, I washed them first, obviously. Then I grabbed my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. I mixed all the ingredients together—you know, the usual flour, sugar, butter, eggs, and a whole lot of chocolate chips.

Mixing and Baking
-
First, I creamed together the butter and sugar until it was all light and fluffy.
-
Then, I beat in the eggs one at a time. I always make sure to do it slowly so everything combines well. After that, I mixed in the vanilla extract.
-
In a separate bowl, I whisked together the dry ingredients—flour, baking soda, and salt.
-
Gradually, I added the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Overmixing is a big no-no, right?
-
Finally, I folded in the chocolate chips. I might have added a few extra because, well, who doesn’t love more chocolate?
Next, I greased the heart-shaped molds with some butter. I didn’t want my cookies to stick. Then I spooned the dough into each mold, making sure not to overfill them. I popped them into the oven, which I had already preheated to 350 degrees. They baked for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges were golden brown.
Cooling and Decorating
Once they were done, I took them out of the oven and let them cool in the molds for a few minutes. Then, I carefully inverted the molds onto a wire rack to let the cookies cool completely. Some of them crumbled a bit at the edges, but hey, that’s part of the charm of homemade stuff, right?

After they were completely cool, I melted some white chocolate and drizzled it over the cookies. I also added some heart-shaped sprinkles to make them extra festive. They looked adorable, if I do say so myself!
Tasting Time
The best part, of course, was tasting them with my partner. They were a bit crumbly, but tasted amazing—soft in the middle and slightly crispy on the edges. Just the way I like them! Plus, the heart shape made them feel extra special.
All in all, it was a fun little baking project. It wasn’t perfect, but I enjoyed the process and the result was pretty sweet, both literally and figuratively. If you’re looking for a cute way to bake something special for someone, these heart-shaped molds are a fun idea. Just be prepared for a few imperfections along the way—it’s all part of the fun!
