Shot Glass Desserts: What Are the Best Recipes You Need to Try?

Okay, so I wanted to try something a little different and fun in the kitchen today. I had this idea for making shot glass desserts. I’ve seen them around, and they always look so fancy and delicious. It was time to give them a go myself!

First, I gathered all the stuff I needed. I grabbed some shot glasses from the cupboard – thankfully, I had a few lying around. Then I needed to figure out what kind of desserts to make. I decided to go with a classic: chocolate mousse.

Shot Glass Desserts: What Are the Best Recipes You Need to Try?
  • I found a simple recipe online, nothing too complicated.
  • I melted some chocolate – always a good start, right?
  • Then I whipped up some cream until it was nice and fluffy.
  • I carefully folded the melted chocolate into the whipped cream. It looked so good, I almost ate it all right then and there.

Next, I needed something for the base. I crushed up some cookies – they were just regular ones I had in the pantry. I mixed the crumbs with a little melted butter and pressed them into the bottom of each shot glass. That was a bit fiddly, but I managed.

Then came the fun part: filling the glasses! I carefully spooned the chocolate mousse on top of the cookie base. I tried to make it look neat, but honestly, it was kind of messy. But hey, that’s part of the fun, right?

I popped them in the fridge to chill for a bit. While they were chilling, I whipped up some more cream for a topping and found some chocolate shavings in the back of the cupboard. Perfect!

Finally, after what felt like forever, I took the shot glass desserts out of the fridge. I added a dollop of whipped cream to each one and sprinkled the chocolate shavings on top. They actually looked pretty good, if I do say so myself!

The taste test!

They were delicious! The mousse was rich and creamy, the cookie base added a nice crunch, and the whipped cream and chocolate shavings were the perfect finishing touch. I shared them with my family, and they were a big hit. My partner even said they are better than the ones in fancy restaurants.

All in all, it was a successful experiment. It was a bit of work, but totally worth it. I’ll definitely be making these again, maybe trying out different flavors next time. Maybe I will try strawberry next time! I definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re looking for a fun and tasty dessert.
