Okay, so I saw this recipe for Betty Crocker banana nut bread the other day, and I just had to try it. I mean, who doesn’t love a good banana nut bread? And with a little cinnamon and nutmeg? Count me in!
First things first, I gathered all my ingredients. I made sure I had some super ripe bananas – the riper, the better for banana bread, you know? Then, I grabbed some sugar, a couple of eggs, flour, baking soda, and salt. Oh, and of course, the stars of the show: cinnamon and nutmeg. I love it!

The Mixing Part
I started by mashing up those bananas in a big bowl. Then, I dumped in the sugar and cracked in the eggs. I gave it all a good whisk until it was nice and combined. It is important, right?
In a separate bowl, I mixed together the dry ingredients – the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. I whisked those together real good, so everything was evenly distributed. Then, I gradually added the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing it all up until it was just combined. You don’t want to overmix it, or the bread will be tough.
The Baking
- I preheated my oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- I greased a loaf pan and poured the batter in.
- Then, into the oven it went!
It baked for about 50-60 minutes. You know it’s done when you stick a toothpick in the center, and it comes out clean.
The Result
Oh. My. Gosh. This banana nut bread turned out amazing! It was so moist and flavorful, and the cinnamon and nutmeg really added something special. I sliced myself a piece (or two, okay, maybe three), and enjoyed it with a cup of coffee. It was the perfect afternoon treat. I will definitely be making this recipe again!
It is so easy and delicious!
