Alright, so you wanna know about them monster cookies, the ones without no flour? Yeah, I can tell ya a thing or two. My grandbaby, she showed me a picture on that… that… phone thingy. Looked like a mess of good stuff all mixed together, you know? Like when you throw everything you got in the pantry into one big bowl. That’s how these cookies looked.
First off, they call ’em “monster” cookies ’cause they got all sorts of things in ’em. Not real monsters, mind you, though sometimes the kids act like little monsters when they want ’em. These cookies got peanut butter, lots of it, the good creamy kind, not that crunchy stuff that gets stuck in your teeth. Then you got oats, you know, the stuff you feed horses? Well, we eat it too, in these cookies anyways. And sugar, oh Lordy, lots of sugar. Brown sugar, white sugar, maybe even a bit of that molasses stuff if you’re feeling fancy.

- Peanut Butter – Gotta be the creamy kind.
- Oats – The rolled kind, not that quick-cooking stuff.
- Sugar – A mix of brown and white, makes ’em chewy.
- Eggs – Holds everything together, like a good family.
- Chocolate Chips – ‘Cause what’s a cookie without chocolate?
- M&Ms – For color and extra sweetness, kids love ’em.
Now, the tricky part is making ’em without flour. See, flour, that’s what makes most cookies… cookie-like, you know? Holds ’em together, gives ’em that shape. But these monster cookies, they don’t need no flour. The peanut butter and oats, they do all the work. They stick together like… well, like burrs on a dog’s fur. You mix it all up real good, and it gets thick, like real thick mud after a rainstorm. You gotta use a big spoon, or your hands, though your hands get real messy. Kids love helping with that part, though. Gets flour all over their faces and hair, makes ’em look like little ghosts.
Baking ’em is easy peasy. Just plop ’em on a baking sheet, big ol’ spoonfuls, don’t be stingy now. They spread out when they bake, so give ’em some space. You bake ’em ’til they’re golden brown around the edges, but still soft in the middle. You don’t want ’em hard as rocks, nobody wants to break a tooth on a cookie. Then you gotta let ’em cool, that’s the hardest part, especially with the kids hovering around like flies on honey. But you gotta let ’em cool, otherwise they fall apart and you get a big ol’ mess.
And let me tell ya, these cookies, they’re good. They’re soft and chewy, and they got all that peanut butter and chocolate… oh my! Perfect for when you got a sweet tooth, or when the grandkids come over. They’ll eat ‘em up faster than a chicken pecks corn. You can add all sorts of things too, whatever you got laying around. Some folks put in raisins, or nuts, or even those little candy-coated chocolates, you know the ones I’m talkin’ about. Makes ’em look like a rainbow exploded in a cookie. It’s a forgiving recipe, that’s what I like about it. Can’t mess it up too bad.
So, there you have it. Monster cookies, no flour needed. Just good ol’ fashioned ingredients, mixed together with love, and baked ’til they’re perfect. Go on, try it yourself. You won’t be disappointed. And if the kids don’t like ‘em… well, more for you, right? That’s what I always say.
Now, I gotta go, the chickens are squawking and the dog needs feeding. But you remember what I told you, and you go make those cookies. They’re worth the mess, trust me. And don’t forget the big glass of milk to go with ‘em. That’s the best part.
