Make Walnut Honey Chicken Tonight – Your Family Will Love It
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Alright, let’s talk about this here walnut honey chicken. I ain’t no fancy chef or nothin’, just a plain ol’ body who likes good eatin’. And let me tell ya, this chicken, it’s somethin’ else.

First off, you gotta get yourself some chicken. Now, I like the kind with the bones still in, you know, thighs and legs. They got more flavor, see? But if you like that there breast meat, that’s your business. Just make sure it’s good chicken, not that scrawny stuff they sell sometimes.

Then, you need them walnuts. Don’t go buyin’ them chopped up bits in a bag, no sirree. Get the whole walnuts and crack ’em yourself. It’s a bit of work, sure, but it tastes way better. And you get to smack somethin’, which is always fun, ain’t it?

  • Get good chicken, thighs and legs are best.
  • Find whole walnuts, don’t buy chopped ones.
  • You’ll need honey, real honey, not that fake stuff.

Now, the honey. This is important. You gotta use real honey, the kind the bees make. Not that corn syrup stuff they try to pass off as honey in them big stores. Real honey, it’s got a flavor that can’t be beat. And it’s good for ya, too, or so they say. I ain’t no doctor, mind you.

Okay, so you got your chicken, your walnuts, and your honey. What next? Well, you gotta fry that chicken, that’s what. Get yourself a big ol’ pan, pour in some oil – I like to use lard, ’cause that’s what my grandma used, but you can use whatever you want – and get it nice and hot.

Then, you take them chicken pieces, and you dip ’em in somethin’. Now, some folks use flour, some use cornstarch, some use fancy batter with eggs and whatnot. Me? I just use a little bit of flour and some salt and pepper. Keeps it simple, you know? And then, you fry them chicken pieces ’til they’re good and brown and crispy.

While the chicken is fryin’, you gotta get them walnuts ready. You take them cracked walnuts, and you put ’em in another pan with a little bit of butter. And you toast ’em up, just a little bit, ’til they start to smell real good. Don’t burn ’em, though. Burnt walnuts ain’t no good to nobody.

Once the walnuts are toasted, you pour in some of that honey. Not too much, just enough to coat them walnuts real good. And you stir ’em around, ’til they’re all sticky and sweet and shiny. Oh, it’s a sight to behold, let me tell ya.

And then, when the chicken is done fryin’, and them walnuts are all candied up, you put ’em together. You can toss the chicken in the honey walnuts, or you can just pour the honey walnuts over the chicken. Either way, it’s gonna be delicious.

Now, some folks like to add other stuff, too. Like them green onions, or some sesame seeds. Me? I just like the chicken and the walnuts and the honey. That’s all you need, really. It’s simple, it’s hearty, and it’s just plain good eatin’.

This here honey walnut chicken , it ain’t no fancy dish, like I said. It’s just good, honest food. The kind that fills you up and makes you feel good all over. And that’s what matters, ain’t it? Food ain’t gotta be complicated to be good. Sometimes, the simplest things are the best.

So, next time you’re lookin’ for somethin’ good to eat, give this honey walnut chicken a try. I reckon you won’t be disappointed. And if you are, well, you can come on over and I’ll make you somethin’ else. I ain’t got nothin’ better to do all day. Just kidding… maybe.

Just remember, get good stuff to cook this— good chicken, real honey, you know the drill. It’s gonna be so good you might start clucking yourself!

One last thing, don’t forget to lick your fingers when you’re done. That’s the best part, you know? All that sticky honey and them crunchy walnuts… oh, it’s just heaven.
