Alright, so you wanna know about them whole wheat crackers, huh? Let me tell ya, I ain’t no fancy doctor or nothin’, but I know a thing or two about eatin’ and what fills ya up. These crackers, they ain’t just for show, they got some stuff in ‘em that your body needs, or so they say.

First off, they got these things called calories. Now, I don’t rightly know what a calorie is, but I know if you eat too many, your pants get tight. They say a handful of these crackers, ‘bout this much ya see, gestures with hand, has got, oh, maybe a hundred and twenty of them calorie things. Seems like a lot if ya ask me, but then again, I ain’t no expert.
Then there’s the fat. Now, fat, that’s what makes things taste good, like that bacon grease I save for cookin’ everything. These crackers, they ain’t dripping in fat like bacon, but they got some. Enough to make ‘em, you know, not taste like cardboard. They say it’s about, hmm, 28% of the cracker is fat. Whatever that means.
- They got this other stuff too, like protein. That’s the stuff that builds ya up strong, like them fellas who lift heavy things at the market. Not much protein in these crackers, though. Just a little bit, maybe 9%. Enough to say it’s there, I guess.
- And then there’s the carbs. Carbs, them’s the things that give ya energy, like when ya gotta chase after them chickens that get loose. These crackers, they got a whole bunch of carbs, maybe 60-something percent. That’s why they fill ya up, see?
Now, if you’re watchin’ your weight or somethin’, you gotta pay attention to how much you eat. A little handful here and there ain’t gonna hurt ya, but if you sit there and eat the whole box, well, them pants are gonna get tighter, I tell ya.
And don’t go thinkin’ you can just eat these crackers and nothin’ else. You need other stuff too, like vegetables and fruits and maybe some meat, if you can afford it. These crackers are just a part of the whole shebang, ya know? You gotta have a good mix of things to keep your body going. Like a garden, you gotta have different plants growin’, not just one.
I heard some folks talkin’ about “net carbs” and “added sugars” and all that fancy talk. To be honest, I don’t pay much attention to that. I just look at the back of the box, see how much stuff is in it, and try not to eat too much of the bad stuff. And sugar, well, that’s just gonna rot your teeth out and make ya hyper, like my grandson after he eats too much candy.

They also talk about vitamins and minerals. I guess these crackers got some of them too, but I can’t taste ‘em, so I don’t know for sure. They say it’s good for ya, so I guess it is. It’s like puttin’ fertilizer in the garden, ya can’t see it workin’ right away, but it helps things grow.
So, there ya have it. Whole wheat crackers. They ain’t magic, but they ain’t bad neither. Just eat ‘em in moderation, like everything else in life, and you’ll be alright. And don’t forget to drink your water, that’s important too, ya know.
One more thing, if you got one of them “sugar diseases,” you best talk to your doctor before you go eatin’ too many of these. I ain’t no doctor, remember? I just know what my belly tells me, and sometimes, my belly tells me to stop eatin’ so many crackers. Listen to your body, that’s what I say.
