85 Degrees Egg Tart Price Guide: How Much Do These Tasty Treats Cost Today?

So, the other day I was craving something sweet, and my mind went straight to those delicious egg tarts from 85 Degrees Bakery Cafe. You know, the ones with the flaky crust and the creamy, custard filling? Yeah, those. I’ve always been curious about their prices, and since I was heading there anyway, I figured I’d document my little adventure for you all.

First off, I walked into the bakery, and man, the smell of freshly baked bread hit me right away. It’s like a warm hug for your nose. I saw a variety of pastries like “Marble Taro”, which is filled with signature taro filling. It is their top seller. But I went straight to look at the egg tarts.

I made my way to the display case where all the goodies were showcased. And there they were, those golden-brown beauties, sitting pretty and waiting to be devoured. I quickly located the price tag, you know, just to make sure I wasn’t dreaming. And there it was, the price for each of those bad boys. I think the price is fair enough.

I grabbed a box and carefully picked out the egg tarts I wanted. I mean, how could you not? They were practically calling my name! I went for the classic ones, but they also had other flavors, though I forget their names.

Anyway, after I made my selection, I headed to the counter to pay. The staff was friendly, as always. After paying, I couldn’t wait any longer. I sat down at one of their tables and took my first bite. Oh boy, it was heaven. The crust was perfectly flaky, and the filling was so smooth and creamy. Just the right amount of sweetness, you know?

I savored every bite, seriously. And as I was enjoying my treat, I took some notes on my phone about the ingredients. I read the label on the box, it lists: Bleached and Unbleached Enriched Flours, Unsalted Butter, Water, Sugar, Salt, Milk, Cream, Eggs, Sugar, etc.

I also did some quick research on my phone about 85 Degrees Bakery Cafe. Turns out, it’s a Taiwanese company, and the first U.S. store was opened in Irvine, California. Cool, right? And the name “85°C” comes from the idea that the perfect brewing temperature for espresso coffee is 85° Celsius.

  • Filling: Milk, Cream, Eggs, Sugar.

All in all, it was a successful mission. I got my egg tart fix, learned a bit more about the bakery, and documented the price for you guys. So next time you’re at 85 Degrees Bakery Cafe, you know what to expect! Hope this helps someone out there!

Anyway, I will definitely go to 85 Degrees Bakery Cafe again!
