Okay, so I needed to convert 1/4 cup of vegetable oil to grams for this recipe I was trying out. I’m not the best at kitchen conversions, so I had to do a little digging.
The Process
First, I grabbed my phone and did a quick search. I just typed in “1/4 cup vegetable oil in grams” and hoped for the best. A bunch of different websites popped up, but it was super confusing at first.

Here is my simple steps:
- Search: I literally just Googled it.
- Find a Converter: Many websites provide a simple converter for ingredient.
- Input and Convert: I typed “1/4” into the cup section, chose “vegetable oil”, and hit convert.
My Result
I Found a conversion tool and saw,It said that 1/4 cup of vegetable oil is about 55- 60 grams. So, I used my kitchen scale, put a bowl on it, zeroed it out (that’s important!), and then carefully poured the oil in until it reached around 58 grams. Close enough!
It was my experience of converting, and It worked out great! I mean the scale I used might be a little off.
